That's an oxymoron!......The Dragon...318 curves in 11 miles...Illinois...11 curves in 318 miles!
Seriously, if you want to ride some roads that have at least some feature go southwest to Yorkville and take IL71 to Starved Rock state park. Problem is there is very little feature.
Or you could go to far Northwest Illinois in the Galena area, but that is a weekend at least!...Actually in the city?...There's a pretty intense "S" curve under the railroad tracks on Cicero avenue, just north of Montrose!

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

If you want to anger a conservative, tell him a lie. To anger a liberal all one must do is tell the truth!

Ummm yeah if you can find a time of day there isnt a traffic jam there.

Better off recommending the s turn on LSD

The traffic ADDS to the intensity! LSD doesn't even come close to the adrenaline rush of sharing that curve with a CTA bus! PLUS...on any given day the surface of the road could be opened up with potholes!...You can't get that kind of excitement on LSD!

For this guy it would probably suit him better on lsd that way he can pimp that gixxer while doing 180 from cpd all the while showing his mad gixxer like skills thru the s curve

There are some great roads all within 5 miles of my place. Come on out to the west burbs, I can show you, and you be the judge.

Half of the frequent posters on this board wouldn't even know what to do with a good twisty if they had it.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Funny cuz its true.

There are plenty of fun roads around but nothing like the Dragon. The only really challenging twisties in Illinois are Blackhawk and Autobahn IMHO.

Laguna Woodridge : Just did it about 5 times the other day. Tar snakes were only bad cause they were fresh last year. They are fine now. The office park in Downers is the best right now. Fresh pavement and little traffic cause the economy has emptied most of the office space there.
