I love being in technology management

NOTHING is ever the same in this job. Every day is completely different from the day before. I love it. Absolutely. I could never do a job where I am doing the same things day-in-and-day-out. No way.

Anyone else have a fun job like this? Even when things go wrong, I love it...

For those that love to learn it is fun. I love it. I like to have enough time on something to learn it and get really good at it and then move on to something else. I get bored quickly if I'm not learning.

It is definitely fun. The only issue is having to deal with genuinely stupid/malicious people sometimes. And I could really do without politics. Otherwise - working with a cooperating, smart customer - it is awesome. Also can't imaging doing the same shit day to day. I would go crazy in no time.

Every day is an adventure. Last week we had our first fire and I found the biggest turd I have ever seen clogging the toilet in the ladies room it was a big around as a coke can and at least 14 inches long.

My job is different every day. I work on call, so I get to do all kinds of stuff, at all times of the day. One day I am flagging (protecting non railroad people near the tracks), another taking a train downtown, utility person, all sorts of stuff. Change sucks, but variaty is the spice of life.

we build custom vision inspecting machines. I work with different customers, almost every other day. We got some crazy inspections, using x-ray, different types on lights.

I do the same thing (though on a much smaller level, and obviously not nearly as good as paul judging by the bike collection ) and love it because it does change every few years. There's no pause, and every day you have to learn something new. Doing the same thing over and over sucks. Some people like that, but lots of us don't.
