Not sure... I heard it on my scanner as I was driving home and it's kind of by my house so I tried to pass by to see if it was anyone I knew. They said a car hit it and it went off the road and hit a tree. The biker was conscious. All I could see though was a scooter off to the side of the road in good condition. I don't think that was it though. There was cops everywhere and they had that section of Ogden blocked off.

I'm the guy that might ask. You had time to get his # Did you write it down in your journal while you were riding ? or have your cell phone out to take a picture?and then it had you so steemed that you couldn't have been focused on the road .

It sucks but that's how it is out there.

I think sport bikes have your eyes looking down at the road more than looking out and up!
Try riding a tall duel sport on the road and then tell me how much you see.

have you ever ridin a sportbike? You can see just fine. I see more of whats going on than when I'm in my cage. Thats why I'm more careful when I know a bike is near me.

Have I ever riden a sport bike?Hmmm.

I've ridden 100's of them.

I'm sure it'll be tuff to argue the fact that most car roofs are well above a sportbike riders line of sight.let alone any of the SUV's .

Sit up right on a tall bike and the whole vision thing changes .Have you ever ridden a tall bike?

Definitely true. Whenever I'm riding a Multistrada, I get way more room and less "oh, shit" moments from the other drivers/riders compared to the CBR. Color (the multi is red, the cbr is black) and size of the bike can be also contributing to it, but I bet it's mostly the difference in height.

Could also be the fact that speed feels a lot different on a sport bike then a standard.

Ride smart... stupid hurts.

Everyone crashes. Some get back on. Some don't. Some can't...

Yeah, could be. But I was talking about "oh, shit" moments caused by other drivers, not me. On the streets in the city there's not much speed difference between the Multistrada and the CBR. If there's, I ride faster on the Multi in the city because it's really effortless from full stop compared to the CBR which needs to be revved higher.

Treat every vehicle that you can as if it's coming to get you and get where it can not (or has the least amount of chance to) get you.

There are people who can track many simultaneous things at once and calculate ahead where things will be in 1, 2, 5 10, 15, 30 60 seconds ahead at the same time.. You need to be able to do this in real-time all the time on a bike. Some people, can not. Life will be very rough if you do not actively practice the skill.

Everyone Exaggerates

We're being taken for a ride... agaaaaaaain.....

Sorry I couldnt find my own thread lol But this was right on N Aurora and RT 59 light coming out of RT 59 train station. I was steamed when he try to run over me and then flipped me off. I went up to him to thank him at the red light and he said you should not be riding bicycles on the roads and its his ignorance that really pissed me off. On top he is was acting like he owns the road cause he was in a pos infinity. And as for someone asking if I had time to write down his # is cause I have decent memory and recalled his plates...dont be a hater if you cant remember things :P

you see its drivers like that who are ignorant enough and willing to take out a guy on a bike that i say Karmas a bitch...

now my question googs is. was there anything you did that could of pissed him off because seems kind of odd the dude would just try and run you over for no reason

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

it happens and just be happy you didn't get hit. always be one the watch and have a way out in case the person just changes lanes abruptly. most people in cars don't bother to look until it's too late.
