i-Pass, stay current

Just opened my mail from the IL tollway. $170 fine!!!!! Called up to bitch. Well the card I used expired 4 months ago. $20 fine each time. The guy on the phone was totally cool and took my new card info and got rid of all the fines. FYI, they do not tell you when the card you used expires until months later along with a letter with a nice photo of your cars plate. Is it so hard to email you about your card soon to be expired??

I just got $140 fine in mail. I changed plates and got nailed 7 times in a two day window even though I called. they are violations on the old plates too.

Yeah, I just got an e-mail from them saying my card was declined. Only took them about, maybe, 6 hours to let me know, after they tried to charge for it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt that ISTHA will do whatever they can for a buck. (Have you seen the rules letting them fine for V-tolling?)

not one notice but 6 notices

And they never send you anything after three unpaid ones. I have had ones that had 20 violations on it and then a second comes in with a few more.

Tho they took care of it no problem but i had to go to a oasis and get a new ipass

not to sure about that. It seems everyone gets out of the fines. They actually seem pretty cool about removing the fines.

Has anyone ever had to pay the full amount?

I just got a postcard in the mail from IDOT and an email from them as well. Both were telling me my credit card is about to expire and I need to update my info.

Logged on, updated my stuff, logged out.

Glad IDOT was proactive enough to let me know.

Wrong ... you're visible ... it just takes them up to 2 years to see it.

You can retreive and set a new password based on your transponder number and DL number I think....I end up having to do that every 18 months or so when I have to get into my account for some reason or another.
