When do the prop taxes get sent out?

Not that I'm looking forward to paying the property taxes (first year being fully assessed) but curious to know when they send out the bill. Having all that money sitting in savings is screaming at me, "SPEND ME ON A NEW BIKE, PLEASE!!!!" I need to get the money out before I do just that (not that it is an option right now, but still).

Depending on the county, you should be able to view your bill online as soon as it is available and then make your payment online as well or in person at the County office.

In what county are you?

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

escrows are a PITA. If I didn't have to escrow, I don't know that I would.

A - it's money they are making money on, instead of you. THink about it - put $4k average into a bank account at 4% its like $160 a year (not alot, but better then nothing)

B - if your taxes are wrong, they will pay them anyway and then adjust your contribution.

<-- Chris

turn the bars left and go right; that just isn't right

yeah, I agree that you get screwed on the interest portion. But I can't be trusted to put that money away. I am a horrible saver!

I pay mine the 1st of June and Sept. So the letter should be sent out real soon. I don't escrow cuz the less money that goes to interest, the better
