Sidi boots advice

I am thinking of getting Sidi Vertigo boots but I canít decide if I should get the perforated boot or not. Are they going to be a lot cooler in the summer, a lot colder when it gets chillier? Iíve never bought perforated leather before so I am not really sure what to expect. Thanks for your input.

I have the non-perf version. Gets a little warm in the summer, but think it's worth it to have them for the cooler spring/fall and cool summer nights for this area. If I were furthers South with a warmer climate, I would have bought the perforated version. I know people who have both and will use them for what the current temps are like.

i have non perf also. not had a complaint in the summer. it's just like any other gear. if you're moving, there's air flow to keep you comfortable. if you're sitting in traffic in the middle of july, it's gonna be a little hot.

I have both. The Airs are perfect during the summer and the air flow through them makes them the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, non-perf is good for early and late season riding or rain riding

Perf and you wont look back. I wore non perfs for ever onthe track and street. I bought Perfs by accident a couple of years ago and fell in love onthe first lap. Your feet will thank you.

Dont worry about the cold weather. I have put over 2500 miles on the last 3 weeks in perf boots with 2 pairs of socks and had no problems. This is while riding in 30 degree weather. Your hands will get cold loooong before your feet.

I agree on the perforated ones. I have the perferated and they are awesome. My old boots are still in near mint condition so I wear those during longer rides where rain is possible or when it is cold.

If you had one pair of boots I wouldn't get the perfs. The cold is one thing, but driving days on end and having wet feet the whole time cuz day 2 it rained wouldn't be fun.

So I guess it depends on situation.

If you have one set of boots and like to go on rides where rain isn't a problem, then get non-perfs
If rain makes you hang up the helmet and jacket then get the perfs. Unless of course you get 2 pair, which just makes sense!
