The duc SF looks awesome, but does not deliver the low end grunt you would want from a 'fighter.

It’s awesome for sure… But, there are some many cool bikes on the market. I wish I had unlimited resources.

I still stand behind what I have always said - Sexiest Bike out there is right here on our board - Jack's Brutale - 2nd would be Greg's Trip but that is WAY custom

It gives me great honor to present Jack's Boner creating ride

Whoah! Is that Brut what they look like stock? I'd give that a huge thumbs up, way more then the Duc. And Greg's Super-Speed Trip is in my book as well. If I had the cash I'd take it off his hands, fo sho.

Others have said the same thing. They are going by a feeling, not numbers. Maybe the SF delivers, but it is so refined it doesn't feel like it. My 996 had plenty of torque, but the 955i felt like it had more low end grunt. Bugs 999 had 11 more ft lbs of torque, but he will prolly tell you the SD has more low end grunt.

they're usually geared pretty tall stock, maybe that's it?

I think it goes like this Brutale > Hypermotard > Streetfighter.

I think Ducati got this one wrong. I loathe 'chin' fairings on any bike, but this one's a giant chancre sore. Bleh.

I think you hit it right on the head. My 996 and 955i both had stock gearing. And I was told the 955i was amazing with a gear change.
