Goota do it once and a while. Got to remeber why I enjoy riding once and a while. gear is good, but just cruising like that is nice.

I must admit if i had a cruiser I'd be hard pressed to wear gear riding that. The f3 I don't feel safe at all without at least a jacket on, long pants, and a helmet.

SQUIDS I was living dangerously, I rode up and down the street with no helmet, so I could "hear" the bike....feels weird...I'm too use to gear.

All those extra noises without a lid scares me. Is my bike supposed to make all those extra noises?

See, I know I'm a squid, but I can't ride w/all the gear on when I'm cruising. I personally get too stupid. When I'm wearing jeans, a sweatshirt, and gloves, I'm much more of a defensive driver, taking turns easily, and just cruising and enjoying it. If I throw on my helmet, jacket, and all the other stuff, I start taking turns faster, going WOT, and just being dumb. I dunno, the helmet (I think especially the face sheild) gives me a false sense of security.

LOL, no shit, it sounds like the motor is about to fall out with the lid off.

I ride the Cruiser without much gear all the time. I have to or I'd probably quite riding all together. I spent the first 13 years of y riding life riding squid and loved the freedom. then I got into the whole message board seen ad got smart and started wearing all this gear. all I can say is, Ignorance is bliss.

If you're in a class to learn how to ride better you probably are disqualified from being a squid!

i wanted to be like jim after i read this, so i took the bike out (dont mind the missing subframe) and didnt wear any gear, and WAMMO a semi ran me over then it tossed me over the car behind it where my brain did a front side grind on the curb.

well..... as an after thought i should have worn the gear. but it was niCe w/ the wind blowing through my head. hehhe j/k

i hear ya. sometimes you just dont wanna wear it but i would rather be safe then sorry if you ask me.

the world would be lost w/o a face like mine. LOL

A few weeks ago somebody missed a turn coming to my house. I saw them go by on the street out back. I took off in shorts, a t-shirt, and sandles after them.
