Also, if you're into it, visit BMW museum, possibly, do a factory tour. I hear it's awesome.

I only went to Munich once on a day trip when I lived in Germany so I don't remember anything specific but the castles are amazing and so cool to visit. If you end up having a day available you can do a tour to the Neuschwanstein Castle, which is the real Cinderella Castle. It's much cooler than it sounds.

Depens on what you want to do. Time is short. The BMW museum is pretty cool, actually and is in a nice area of Munich. Austerkellar has GREAT Seafood. Cafe' Reitschule is a great place to eat. I've had their breakfast, but things liven up later in the day - great Motif. Missoni has a nice women's store all the ladies liked to go to when I have been out there. Kind of a Chic/Trendy place. Fun. Italian Stock House has high end brand shopping - a must see if you want to shop. Schumann's is a nice night spot bar/club. Bar Schwein is also a good place to tip a few. I don't even think they ever close... Can't remember.

Have fun!!

Beer: Try some Hefeweizen Dunkel, a Cola Weizen (aka Diesel) and a Radler (more popular with the ladies as it uses the filtered Kristelweizen).

Sights: Neuschwanstein Castle is under 2 hours SW from Munich and is probably the most famous castle in Germany (and Europe for that matter).

holy moly, that's a lot of good info. I'll forward that to the concierge at my hotel so they can accommodate directions and stuff.

How you found us: it's a small world afterall

The drive to and from Neuschwanstein is gorgeous if you take back roads. It's also a pretty good hike up to the castle if you choose to park at the bottom and walk up. There's a second, smaller castle - Hohenschwangau you can visit, and I think you can actually see it from Neuschwanstein. Both were homes of King Ludwig II who apparently, was a total nutbag. The castle is pretty nutty, and fairly modern since it was built in the late 1800's.

We didn't see much of the city really, just went there to see a castle and wandered around. Went to an art museum and had dinner at a kitschy beer hall. We also went to Dachau, which is north of Munich, to see the memorial.
