Cool Vacations in Orlando - questions

In May we are going to Orlando.
This is our first trip to Florida and Disney World.
Kids are happy they will see Mickey Mouse and more. We also want them
to see the ocean. We will rent a car and go but we don't know
where exactly, what would be better. Coco beach area and Cape Canaveral or Tampa and St. Petersburg area, or maybe both.
What you guys think? Is there plenty of public entrance to the beach?

Another Q - our kids are 3 & 5 what would you guys recommend to show them in Disney World?

Dave and I know Disney inside and out. I can answer any questions you may have about Disney. I plan trips for people all the time.
1. Are you staying on Disney property?
2. how long will you be there?
3. how many park days are you planning?
4. are the kids boys/girls or one of each?
5. are you looking to do some disney character meals?

and the coco beach area is way cooler.

1. Are you staying on Disney property? - we are staying in Regal Sun Resort (4 star) it's Official Walt Disney World resort, I choose that on because wasn't to expansive and has a huge pool for kids.

2. how long will you be there? we will be there 7 days

3. how many park days are you planning? 3

4. are the kids boys/girls or one of each? 2 boys (Alex 5 and Adam almost 3)

5. are you looking to do some Disney character meals? We did already reserved a Character breakfast.

Coco beach area is way cooler. - We thinking one day on coco beach one day on Tampa or St. Petersburg beach.

Hotel and Air was 361$ a piece for 7 days. We are taking my sister in law so she can help my wife with the kids.
I will be working there as a family photographer

Just so you are aware that is NOT a Disney resort. I have been to every single resort on property and that is not one of them. Disney resorts have extra magic hours and Disney transportation available to them.

These are the official resorts at WDW: http://allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm

PM me if you are looking for some park tips. Or if you have a list of questions you need answers too. The site above is a wealth of knowledge.

I was in the Tampa/Clearwater area last year and got the chance to go to America's top rated beach - Caladesi Island. Beautiful Place

They have a free transportation to the World Disney so thats cool.
I understand that the website says they are an official wdw hotel. Disney doesn't have hotels. They have resorts. The transportation from those local hotels is usually twice a day. Disney transportation runs until the parks close, and they are free. As a resort guest you are entitled to extra magic hours. (either an hour before outside guests or 3 hours after the parks close to outsiders) this is checked with your key to the world card. (room key) There are some great places off Disney property, but you need to factor in the time you will spend getting to and from the parks, and if you decide to drive there, parking is $11 a day. Staying on Disney property has some great deals right now, I believe they have pay for 4 stay for 7 nights right now. I know when we go in Sept all of our food is included at no cost.

Do the magic kingdom for sure and make sure to bring your own stroller. Too expensive to rent. Also the food make sure you include it in your package. I LOVEEEE DISNEY... check my avatar that was taken last year in Disney. thats all... Have fun!

It's sad that I know Chazbaby has a pic of Sean Michael at the Tomorrowland Speedway in Magic Kingdom. I believe he is standing in the handicapped exit. How close am I?

we have stayed in a place from http://condotels.net/ but now always stay on Disney property. They have "Magical Express", a bus that picks you up at the airport for free, and they have transportation all around Disney property for free. If you want to go to sea world they will come to Disney property and get you, and then bring you back when you are done. I believe this is also free. We stay in the value resorts, with All star Music being our fave. All star movies in second, then sports. I don't care for Pop Century, but others love it. Right now Disney has a pay for 4 nights get 3 free, and they upgrade your park tickets for the extra days too. Starting Aug 16th they have a deal to book the room and park tickets and get free meals, that ends Oct 3rd. We are going in Sept. to take advantage of the free dining.
