Lolla

I found it strange there was no threads about it, but I searched and searched...

Who decided to pull the trigger today now that they officially announced the lineup? I'm going specifically to see Tool, anything else is just a bonus for me.

Agreed. But seeing tool is sorta a life goal for me. For various reasons I haven't yet gotten the chance. I always promised myself I'd pay up to a grand if the opprotunity came around, so 190 ain't no great shake

You know you can buy seperate tickets for each day for like 80 bucks a day. At least that's how much it was last year. Don't waste the money if you're only going to see a few bands.
It's been suprisingly easy to catch Tool around here lately (in the last 3 or 4 years or so). One of the perks of living near a big city I guess. Not a big fan of the outdoor Tool show because you miss a ton of the sights and sound, but it's still worth it.

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil,

'The Light at the End of the Tunnel' has been turned off.

Yeah, I know I'd be able to buy specific days, but those tickets aren't available yet, nor is the schedule when the bands will play. I'm just not willing to take the chance that for some reason it wont work out. Totally stupid and paranoid, but like I mentioned its a life goal. Plus theres some pretty okay other bands.

I saw Tool at lolla in 1997. Korn and Prodigy were no shows so Tool played for over 2 hours i think. It was awesome. I'd love to see Tool live again. There's a few other bands I'd like to see on there too:

-Beastie Boys
-Kings of Leon (seen twice and they are awesome)
-Band of Horses
-Crystal Castles (I heard their recent Chicago show sucked though)
-Silversun Pickups
-Deadmau5
-Gomez (always great live)
-The Gaslight Anthem
-No Age
-Theivery Corp put on a good live show at lolla a couple years ago too

Alas, it's my first anniversary on the 8th and I'm planning on heading to Vegas that weekend.

Add Andrew Bird to that list and it's about what i'd go to see. Oh and Animal Collective. Actually there are a LOT of good bands performing.

BTW, I recently saw Cold War Kids at Schubas, awesome show.

Is anyone going this weekend? I'm thinking about maybe going Sunday to see Kaiser Chiefs, Cold War Kids, Silversun Pickups, and The Killers.
