I rode to work this morning, it wasn't too bad, a little chilly. The wind picked up quite a bit in the afternoon, it should make it for an interesting ride home.

I might take over the pot stirrer spot for the evening.

It is pretty windy too over here. Dress warm tonight.

Rode to go out to lunch with the girlfriend. Leaving my house the ride wasn't bad wind wise at all. On the way back I though i lost all the fairings off my bike. It was that windy. At about 230 pm on 94 heading west just past 130th a yellow 1098 pulls up next to me. After following behind what looked to be a ford countor with municiple plates for 10 or 15 mins i see the duck shoot past him. I follow and we continue at a brisk pace. Later on i realize the rider of the duc is wearing a gun and holster, and was wearing dress shoes and pants. Probally a chicago cop. He gave me a funny look and broke off when we hit 55. Guess the funny look was cause i was ridding a black kawi wearing a ducati leather jacket. Just wondering if the duck rider posts here.

I went up and down my street in first if that counts. When I let off the throttle the bike doesn't smoothly slow down, it rather like jerks a little bit first. Is this the norm?

If you are being smooth with the throttle, check the chain tension.

Its probably just me not being smooth at all, gotta work on that.

Made it successfully to second and third gear though. (down shifting is another story) . I thought I was moving at blazing speeds until I looked at the speedometer, was only doing 25 I can't imagine what highway speeds must feel like.

Vee Dubbed it ALLLL day today - City to Tinley Park to Oak Brook to Rolling Meadows and now home - Gotta jump back in the ride for Din Din tonight too and the LAST thing I want to do right now is get back behind the wheel - Already asked the date if she was down with two wheels tonight and she respectfully declined - DAMN!

Where did this occur? I saw some guy(or girl) on a silver bike (not sure the make/model) wheelieing from the platform of the UIC/Halsted CTA station.

Atwater Ave. in Bloomington, IN, some 250 miles away

Went to squirt in between a bus and a merging car, cracked it open while leaned over a bit, spun up and kicked out the rear, and wheelied on down the street.

Seems normal for a 250r...no fun riding it one first. Here is what I have learnt on it. Slow down using the break and coast in and gently down shift, dont engine break all if possible.
