Unfortunately tonight is the only night that I'll probably be able to make thanks to summer softball leagues. Either way I'll see you there tonight!

A few of us are heading over there 2nite. Should roll in about 8 PM.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Mods vs Rockers at Delilah's huh?

Sounds like a great reason to escape from behind the veil of cheese. Is it anything like bike nights at Exit when Dave Stuebe (theclassicmotorcycle.com) was still in town?

marking the calendar now.

^^^ I would think not. MvR has taken on a personality all its own. It starts at noon and runs to about 6 and then there is a group ride to the Bottom Lounge and a party there.
The concept is based on the mid'60's British youth culture...Mods were "dupers" and Rockers were the "greasers" (Hmmmm...bet most of you are too young to understand that reference...) Anyway, the Who's movie, "Quadraphenia" depicts a "riot" that took place between the 2 groups and that is what MvR is preserving in a friendly manner...really, it's just an excuse to hold a kick ass motorcycle and scooter show and get together on Lincoln Avenue...I assure you, if you stop by you'll enjoy yourself.

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!
