Old topic new question (maybe)

So has anyone here tried to use Obama's "Making Home Affordable" program with any success? I just called my lender and I do qualify. But the catch is they jack up the closing costs to an outragous amount! It really bothers me that "big business" can always find a way to FUCK the little guy in the ass with sandpaper wrapped around their cocks.
How the heck can home owners catch a break if they have to pay some ridiculous closing cost fee!?

And if I try to straight out refi with my lender or another, if my house isn't worth enough, I'll have to go back to paying PMI!!! What the fuck is that about!

HOLY SHIT, fucking can't catch a break!

<------ is in the same situation.

I have been thinking about transferring everything I have of value to some one else. Then gut my fucking house for anything I can sell, then give whats left back to the bank.

For as much as I would like to do that, my conscious wont let me.

I am in the same boat with GMAC. I think they are cock suckers, and Obamas plan helps so few random cases it is retarded. I qualify as well, my loan is Freddie Mac but GMAC wants like $4k in closing costs and they are not even giving me the best rate.

I am going to be looking into it... Supposedly if you have a Fannie loan (which I do) you will be able to get it refi'd at a different bank than your original one shortly. One of my friends is a loan officer at another bank and he was telling me that within a week or two they would be able to refi my loan and make use of the program. He said Freddie mac loans wouldn't have that option, at least not now. It'll save me from paying PMI on the refi(had 20% down, but of course would not on a refi).
