Scam Alert

There are more and more cases being reported of a white van selling speakers. The seller will tell you it's an extra stock or that warehouse made a mistake doing inventory. On the box it says they retail at $1999.00 each speaker. They will sell it to you for about $200 to $600 (dealers pay about $50 each speaker)

Be careful. Those are not HIGH QUALITY speakers and not as good as Bose or similar. It's just a marketing gimmick to make you think you bought "HOT" speakers for a great steel of a price.

well these are actual speakers. Don't get me wrong.... they work fairly well and look awesome but they are not worth more then $200. I did hear them, a lady at work bought them and they hooked them up in the conference room. So during luch, I blasted them. THey are cool and all but after doing research, no one has ever heard of them.

THEATER RESEARCH SPEAKERS

Talk to tony. When that van showed up he mentioned how he worked there for like 5 min and then booked out.

Yeah, they've been around for years. They're pretty pushy and tend to single our people in sporty cars that they think are likely to have the money.

Typical story is the company over shipped and the driver told them to keep them.

I was in a Jewel parking lot a few years back and the same people came up to me...I had no interest in the speakers but out of nowhere this big guy was yelling for the guys not to leave. He came up and pulled the passenger of the van out and had him pinned on the ground and called 911. he was telling us how they ripped him off a few days earlier. Needless to say that was pretty funny. I didn't hang around to see what happened though.

Wilson- Thank god for twins!

These guys suck dingle-berries. They have a warehouse in Elmhurst. They will say they had some leftovers and they need to get rid of them. You will be driving down the road and these fuckers will stick their head out and tap on your window to make a sale. I believe they are omni speakers. My friend did it for about 2 weeks he said its the biggest scam. There is a sucker born every minute.

I had a roommate who bought some, them were cheap but they worked. I don't know what legal recourse you'd have, it's a scam but they are working speakers.

i was hit up by woodfield about a month ago for something very similiar. 2 dudes in a white van pulled up next to me and my wife and said he had extra inventory for "Home theater syaytems" do we want one.

I looked at him, laughed and pulled out my fire dept badge and said "I think the village might want to get in on this deal".

He took of through the red light so fast, you would have thought he had something to hide. It was too funny. I never saw a guy so scared about getting coaught in my life!!!!
