I met a guy in San Diego who was very similar - not quite as good, but it's amazing to see people that can do that. He did a demo with 5 people who were told to come at him with everythign they had. They were martial arts students and, supposedly, it was not planned. A couple had a staff, one had nun chucks, and one guy had a police baton. They had to "fight" within a certain area and it was padded all over. He knocked the shit out of all five of them. One guy he actually dislocated his jaw. It was pretty intense.

I suppose so... but it's not like Tony Jaa is a muay thai specialist. Most of his moves are also acrobatic.

All the shit he does are moves from Muay Boran which is an ancient form of the ring sport we know today as Muay Thai.

Understood, but he practiced it for a short period of time and I think what he practiced is more like kung-fu. Not really usable in a fight but very beautiful.

But when I said a run for his money I meant like acrobatic stunts... :P
