Bunch of squids out today

So I went on a SR run today and got to see various forms of the creature. One form was a guy riding a cruiser with shorts and a wife beater. Another dude riding a Giggy with jeans, sunglasses, and bare chested, and many others.

I just laugh at these people.

However, on my way home I decided to jump on 80 and I pass a chick riding a gixxer looking very fashionable - Half jacket, capris, and flip flops. She was wat least wearing a helmet though.

I thought you women were supposed to be smarter than us guys? There are better times to show off your pedicure...

A guy here in Dixon (I won't put his name... douchebag) was riding around over the weekend in shorts, no shirt, tennis shoes, no helmet. I guess riding has officially become "who looks the coolest".... no thanks. I'd rather people not know who I am, then they leave me alone. haha

Actually what gets to me the most is when I see fathers taking their children (around age 8-11) for a ride and they only have glasses on. What would you do if something serious happened, and a helmet could have saved your child's life (let alone other protection). Freaks me out. YOu NEVER know what dumbass isn't paying attention that day.

had to take a quick spin during works and got geared up except without the pants. weirdest feeling riding in jeans. didn't feel safe at all. it's expected though to see people riding around without gear. went on a ride a few weeks back and i was the most geared one (fully geared). most had boots, gloves, jacket and helmet, and two were without anything but sunglasses. i just shake my head. no more point to argue as those that get it, usually wear gear by now or are in the process of it. those that don't won't get it until they see a bad wreck or get into one themselves

I just cant imagine it's very fun to shift in flip flops. I couldn't imagine riding around SR with sunglasses on, by the time I got home I could barely see out of my helmet with all the bug splatters all over it.
