Any ideas?

So, I got engaged about a year ago. I had bought a ring about four months prior to that, and in the mean time until I popped the question, I found something even bigger/better at an insanse price/value.

Anyway, I want to sell the other ring. Since it has been so long, I'm not gonna try and take it back or anything. Besides craiglist, what would be some options? The insurance value from a top notch jewerly store puts it at $3,080 so I dont want to just give it away either. I have full paperwork and stuff too.

anyone know of some places that buy jewerly and that would give a good price? its never been out of the box.

You're fucked, that ring is all but worthless at this point. Some jewelers will offer you a decent amount so long as you upgrade to a piece that costs twice as much (Jared, Kay, JB Robinson and others). I hate to say it but aside from that, you're going to take a 60-90% loss on the ring. Let me know if you have any other questions, I was in jewelry for 4+ years.

Craigslist or local forums aren't a bad idea though, you may get a bite or two, no harm in trying.

Also, what are the stone's specs? Color, Cut, Clarity, Carat weight?
