I hope they gave you the worst case possible with the paralyzed from waist down, and he turns out to be much better. That's horrible to hear.

Godspeed and a speedy recovery.

I agree. Road rash and broken bones is one thing but being paralyzed is just outright fucked up. I hope the best for your friend. Hearing the 'p' word scares the shit out of me.

best of luck to your buddy and his family

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

Being p*%# is about as good as being dead. I would rather be dead then be immobile for the rest of my life.

He's lucky to be alive. I went to the crash site today as I went down the same road the same day as the crash. I've been going down this road for at least 20 years so I am very familiar with it. Its not really a turn but about a 20 degree bend in the road that can easily be taken at 50 mph; rocks or no rocks. He just missed a telephone pole in the middle of the slide by 3 to 4 feet so it really could have been so much worse.
The bike landed at the base of the embankment where the tree line starts after flying through the air about 20 yards. I fell so sorry for him and his family and my prayers truly go out to them as they will need them to give them the strength to get through this. His life will change dramatically if the worst prognosis comes true but he still has so much to live for with his family and friends.
