Holy crap! Crazy police chase and ending.

Guy runs from the police...
Almost hits an officer...
Crashes...
Gets thrown from the car and gets knocked out in the process...
Police come and beat the fuck out of him while he's out cold...
Pwnage.

that's no excuse for a cop to beat on a guy who's knocked out already. they should've have done something more discreet like taze his ass a coupla times while acting like they were trying to get him cuffed

Watch the video again. The driver of the car with the dash cam did not assault the suspect. You actually see him walk back to the car once the 5th officer starts assulting the suspect.

That whole situation could have been handled much better, I can understand the anger the officers had, but I can't let that slide as an excuse here. Poor judgment to say the least. Even worse call by the higher-ups to try and cover it up for over a year as well. From the sounds of it, that mayor is gonna have a few more heads rolling after it is all said and done.

Just stating what it is.. there is no 'excuse' for it as anger management/adrenalin-pursuit training has been around for some time. They should have been fired.

I don't know.

The not only almost hit an officer he was endangering other people's lives in the process.

I think you deserve an ass beating if you run from the cops... maybe not if you're unconscious but if you run... regardless of if you give up or they pin you... you need your ass whipped for being an idiot.

I'm pretty sure if this criminal that was running hit a motorcyclist the naysayers would be singing a different tune.

Personally, I'm not against that considering he *did* hit the cop, and probably would've killed him had he not jumped as quick as he did. Just sayin, not in the open in front of cameras

That was retarded.

The cops are supposed to take the higher road. They're the cops. These few cops decided not to take the high road, and they should be treated as such. They should be charged criminally, just as the perp should.

I'm not sticking up for the perp either, you pull some shit like that you had better expect at least an ass beating.

But, just like everone else, policeman need to be held accountable for their actions. The perp did _____ is no excuse.

Cops aren't allowed to beat the unconscious, regardless of what they've done. Simple as that.

What did this guy do to initiate the chase?
What's with the camera panning and zooming at the end of the vid or did the news jockeys do that?

"They should have come to his aid to see if he needed medical assistance"

Fuck that guy! He didn't stop to see if he killed the cop.

Had I been a cop, I probably would have freaked out when that cop got hit.

Racial, no way. Just a bunch of cops who haven't been trained in how to handle a situation like that.

They should have never put the spike strips out and they should have never chased him.
I'm sure they got his plates and they knew were he was going. Radio ahead and let the guy think the chase is over, they'll still nab him later when he's trying to blend into traffic, and if they don't no big deal. It's better than any person (including the suspect) or God forbid an innocent bystander getting hurt or killed.

I'm not a cop hater or anything, but I am a strict believer in the Constitution. Police officers are part of the executive branch of the government and shouldn't take the role of Judge by beating an suspect who is incoherent. The power should be in hands of the people, not the government's.

oh well at least he didn't feel anything

Btw most of the time the plate are stolen or the whole car for that matter. Or its a criminal using someone else's car.

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

If your going to be a cop, that kinda shit goes with the job. Or we all should be able to beat the shit out of assholes. 5 on 1 we would all be in jail. If they don't want to be the better man then they need to do something else for a living.

How do we know he was incoherent, probably but it is only an assumption. It looked pretty real to me when he tried to run the cop over, attempted murder????? He flipped the car, and got thrown out, big deal people walk away from that. Bottom line, I think they just got caught in the moment and didn't use the best judgement
