any suggestions on salespeople

i know this is vage. i got a buddy comeing home from iraq next week and looking at buying a motorcycle. he orginally had one on hold at banzai motorsports but after seeing the recent problem a CLSB member is having there, and also the other problems some CLSB members posted up on a previous forum, and actually sending him the link to the post i convinced him and hes decided to go else where

now my question does anyone know of good dealership or good sales person to go to

thanks yall

John

Sounds like he has cash. If so, I would avoid the stealerships (and % based sales tax) and get something privately.

The whole tax shit really isnt gonna bother me too much. But when you buy it privately you still have the chance of the bike being messed up. And thats the main concern with buying anything really. But I had my mind set on Banzai, but have been seeing some bad reviews with them. So yeah all the help would be appreciated.

So everyone knows, the post above is the buddy i mentioned in the Orignal post.

as far as private. not all but most people on here (CLSB) are pretty upfront with you and wont always rip you off

Why do people think that buying a bike from a dealer means you're getting a good bike? With a private seller, you can meet the person and see how they take care of the bike. It's possible to get a better deal from a private party as well. All that said, Chicago Performance and DGY are the only dealers that I really like. Des Plains Yamaha has never steered me wrong, but i've never bought a bike from them and I have heard some bad reviews. Corse Superbikes in Wisco is a good dealer as well.

Buy privately and ask someone on the board that is mechanically inclined to come w/ you.

You'll save money, ensure a good working bike... and make a new friend!

Rob (the buyer) is actually on the board so he'll see this again. As far as private. Rob if i were buying id be more inclined to buy from a board member. or Ken (chicago performance) knowing you can already know there rep and its so much less more of a hassel (NO SALES CRAP)

Rob ill talk to ya soon buddy and we'll figure things out. but my adivce is to take in wisley some of the peoples advice from the board. yea they'll bust your balls but most wont purposley stear you wrong

Buy used and privately. A dealer will be just as likely to sell a piece of shit.
