I think they own Tiger Direct.

So is CC an internet store now or are they reopening the local stores to?

I doubt the brick and mortars store will ever be back; another company simply bought the rights to the name and customer records so that they can run the website leveraging the household name.

Linens-n-Things just did the same thing, as they 're-opened' by just going Internet Sales only.

Tiger owns the rights to CompUSA as well. (Well I guess Systemax owns CompUSA if you want to be technical about it) A lot of the employees have starting wearing red CompUSA shirts in the last few months and there's a billboard near the store now that says "Tiger Direct soon to be CompUSA"

Lord, beer me strength

It looks like it's just the .com aspect of it from that letter. But you never know. I know I hate only having best buy around here, they dont have any competition so the prices reflect that.

??? Best Buy price matches with all the other competative stores (Walmart, Target, ABT, whatever) so there's no excuse to pay anymore for something now then when CC was around.
