Talking Props to you CLSB

Another huge hookup for a n00b, me, from CLSB community. Wanted to thank Lonely Raven for helping me fix my speedo sensor on my SV last night. We even stripped one of the brake bolts! "No prob," he says! When my trusted friend left Chicago (DefyInertia), I have turned to CLSB to get a trusted friendly mechanical hand. Now I wont fly around corners at uncontrolable speeds! LOL Just joking, but with the amount of city riding I do. Also now when I can see through a safe turn I can knowing hit it with twice the speed that the turn speed recommends. Any faster and I'd be toast, lol. You guys havent let me down and I'm sure thousands of other new riders can attest. Thanks again Eric & CLSB, I owe you!

She's finally naked!

It's just sad that you know what a TRS-80 is ... LOL!

Eric tweaked the old gal for a very minor fee. All monies were negotiated before any work was done. His work was worth every penny.

Wow, I'm not sure how I missed this thread.

No problem my friend, I'm glad I could help you out with the SV. I don't know much, but what I do know I'm glad to share. In the future, just don't like people
put 200lbs or torque on all your bolts! Sadly, I'm still having trouble finding a replacement for the one I "borrowed" off Peanuts bike to get you back on the road. I'll probably just hit DGY.

Yeah, I'm not sure how this turned into a thread about Dave13s computer, but yeah, he flipped me a few bucks to completely rebuild it. It's what I do for a living so I make a few $$ on the side helping friends out.

this is awesome to hear and it doesn't surprise me about Lonely Raven.

i remember the day he saved me from a inferno! my apartment was on fire and i was about to jump from my 5th story window in order to die fast versus being engulfed in flames. as i sat there considering my only way to die quick the heat and flames and smoke taking me closer and closer to passing out and death. my eyes tearing, my skin overwhelming hot and blistering i heard a loud crashing breaking noise. what looked like an angel glowing in white among the red and orange flames embraced me in its arms and took me though the fire to safety. it all happened so fast i barely got to thank him.

when i asked the ambulance personal who or what was that, they said it was Raven, Lonely Raven.

i still owe my life to you, and for ever will be grateful

Will and Ken, thanks for the good laugh guys, I needed that after this crappy week I've had. I lubbs CLSB.

Brian, I just need a Caliper bolt. No joke, someone put all his weight into these bolts and we almost snapped the head off one getting it off. I reapplied them with proper torque via my SK Torque wrench.

If I can't find a replacement bolt easily, I may just buy myself some sort of bling bolts off eBay for my SV and put my stock bolts on Brianne's SV. It's not like she rides it anyways.

You and others have done so much for me, it's the least I can do to "pay it forward" and help out others. I think that's what makes this community we have special and keeps us together.

Shiat I feel bad now. I work near DGY so I could grab one on the way home next week, unless you were planning to ride this weekend in that case I'll go after work tonight, then drop it off at your house. Honestly let me know, last thing I want is to keep one of your SV in the garage b/c of my repairs Just pm or give me a call...

Nah, don't worry about it. We are riding tomorrow, but I'll find something by then. DGY may not even have it in stock.

I'll figure something out, even if it's hitting a bigger hardware store with a better selection of Metric bolts.

Eric the Ace hardware on Joliet road/Normantown has a decent selection of metric bolts. If you know what you need I can stop by there and pick them up. Mandy and Abi wanna come over and play with your doggie, they can drop them off.

Stainless Steel M10 X 25mm 1.25 (aka fine thread) flange head Hex bolt

If they have such a thing, I'd take 4. But I can try and swing by there today myself. It will give me an excuse to two wheel out there.
