pride and fear

Today has been a mix of emotions for me. My niece graduated from High School today. I am so proud of her. She is a bright beautiful young lady. I took her yesterday to sign her final paperwork for the Navy. She leaves for basic training on June 23RD. While on one hand I am so very proud of her. I am also fearful for her safety. I love her like my own child. I did really well at the commencement ceremony today until they asked those military bound to stand. I lost it, and then cried for the rest of the ceremony. I just wanted to share with my clsb family that one of my own is doing something great with her life. Like I said I'm proud as can be. I just wanted to share.

Good for her, good choice on the branch (Navy vet myself).

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil,

'The Light at the End of the Tunnel' has been turned off.

Thanks guys. She is like my own kid, I am so proud. I sat down and started writing her a letter that I will give her when she leaves for boot camp. Something to read and remind her of how much she is loved.

Just getting to this today, but congrats to your niece and wish her good luck with her training. It's a very admirable decision and I also offer a heartfelt "thank you" for going to defend our country.
