OMG Wat?

So now I am using "Wat?" in my day-to-day PMing with my vendors. This is horrible. Our database went down and one of the techs sent me the error log and I responded with "Wat?"

This is horrible...

I actually had to write a short paper for a class in college and when I went back through to proof read it I found mistakes like: 4, u and a few other I couldn't believe it.

You wanna see my itinerary?

read something somewhere that said kids starting college today are more likely to type their papers using "txt" lingo cause it is getting into their everyday speech.

My friend had to define a bunch of interwebz slang for her psych class and was shocked when i knew almost all of them. But in my defense, the slang was stuff we use here every day like LOL, ROTFLOL, FTW, etc...

I just saw three sport bikes go by on 14. All had gear on. I'm sitting on my couch. Cool sound. Normaly, it sucks living on a busy road, but that was cool.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

It really has taken over in everybodies every day life now. I always catch myself using online lingo, instead of laughing half the time I saw lawl or rofl or something really gay like that. It started out as just joking around but its just slowly worked into everyday talk.

I've noticed this with the phrase "I know, right?". At first I laughed at it because you are saying that you know something, but are immediately asking for verification. It really makes no sense.

I'd say it to my g/f just to annoy her - she's a journalism major so little word/phrase things like this bother her - but I now catch myself saying it in every day speech and we always catch eyes with each other when we hear it on TV or hear other people using it in conversation. I'm hearing it a lot more on TV in the last couple months, and found it interesting when I heard people saying it out in Cali when I was out there a couple weeks back. I have a feeling this it the new "cool"...

I listen to "I know, right?" all day long. All the IT people say that down here along with "You know what I mean?" and I'm surrounded by them; they make me want to jam ice picks in my ears repeatedly. Also, you can tell which employees are under various bosses because they all use the same 'sayings' as their bosses.
