I heard on the radio the current 3G is going for $99 with an AT&T contract.

While I don't care for getting an iPhone, it's a hell of a deal if the service doesn't rape you.

I'll be looking at rate plans next week and evaluating changing to the 3GS. The only thing that kept me from an iPhone was lack of tethering. The new one has it.

Upgraded Processor, video recording, better video playback, and tethering are all the functions I heard on the new one. The S on 3GS is supposed to stand for Speed.

The 3GS one does NOT have tethering right now FYI, so don't buy it expecting it to work right out of the box.

Funny, things the Blackberry has done since the curve. Hell you could tether a Blackberry since the beginning.

I have a Mac, however I will never own an iPhone. It does lots of neat things, but does none of them well.

my new iphone is already preordered

my company has also stopped issuing blackberrys. all management are getting iPhones now. BB is loosing the war fast

Crap (no tethering), well, I'll continue to wait then. I love the phone, hate the voice and the tethering. Hopefully the new rev and the iPhone OS 3.0 will take care of both of the issues that I care about. I am ready to get rid of my Palm Treo 755P. It works great, but it is no iPhone... BUT it tethers well and has good voice quality.

I too used to have Blackberry and WinMo. Hated them both, buggy and slow as heck.

ATT Network still sucks, no if ands or butts and if you try denying that I will know everything you have said about the phone is bullshit.

Can your iPhone work with Domino servers? Does it push calender items? Just because your company is issuing them instead of Blackberrys says nothing.

What exactly is wrong with ATT's network. I've had no problems with it. we did dump sprint and nextel due to shit service though. Att's tower layout is far superior. (I'm in outside plant, it's what i do.)

I can push Cal events all day btw. although i'm not at IT guy, so i have no clue what a domino server is. Guess I dont need an outdated blackberry to work with one then.

The koolaid over at RIM must be that awesome fruit punch flavor or something, cause you guys sure are dedicated to them. the worlds changin, try something new

It couldn't at release and was added later on via an update.

So is this argument really about who's been doing what longer, cause thats what it always seems to come down too. If so I'm gonna dump my Razor phone and go get an old brick phone, they made phone calls looooong before my razor did
