Stunting???

The sport of stunting is on the rise. A good majority of people love to participate or watch the sport. How many times are you at a stop light and you look to your right and you hear some fool “WHEELIE” or the are doing the double fister “revving motion? A lot of people with no riding experience are jumping on bikes and trying to stunt before they can ride. A good amount of the stories we are hearing of people crashing were people stunting on highways or in traffic. With the sport popularity on the rise and that = more crashes which will increase insurance on bikes. It also gives motorcycle riders a bad name. Riding has its obstacles with cab drivers, drunk drivers, people on cell-phones- and the never-ending construction. With all this people still stunt in traffic. There was a poll CLSB conducted about 2 weeks ago asking our opinions on the matter of crashes. Which we were all aware of.

Stunt-Life and Control Coalition practices “We Don’t Play in Traffic”. If everybody followed that just think about the lives that could have been saved this year alone. It’s sad but true. There are more bikes on the road and with the popularity of stunting this could be the start of the ending for a lot of people if they don’t make wise decisions when riding.
Not to be a preacher but a lot of people are dying to early from doing something they love and could have continued to do what they love if they would have thought about where they did there stunting.

Enough about that--- GO OUT AND RIDE- BE SAFE- AND STUNT SAFELY!!
OR ELSE

The difficulty is that land around here is pretty expensive, not to mention finding a place correctly zoned and with amicable neighbors. There would be a huge difficulty with surrounding neighbors if large numbers of people who cannot control their urges started showing up in numbers around the community.

First and foremost, there would have to be sufficient interest to make this a business. It would take substantial economic support to pull this off.

How much would you be willing to pay to attend such a place and how often would you attend?

I was thinking the same BIZ. I wonder who would insure you?

I would like you to pay a member ship fee of $100+ per person + daily fee's, $10 tops.

I wish I could get it in doors(for the noise) but then we have problems with the fire department(gas in doors not good)...ect

Would also need 300 feet long by 50 feet wide min.

any thoughts?

The problem would be insurance. It's a very high risk. If you find someone to insure you, it's gonna cost you big bucks.

300 feet wouldn't be long enough. this topic has been talked about many times before on stuntlife. I don't see this happening anytime soon. you would need too much capital, and the risk/insurance issues.....its too much.
now, if someone could find sponsers for this....that would be great. but, good luck finding any!

Florida, Lakeland

The guys from Redline Extreme use a strip in Lakeland to practice all the time and they have shows there too. I don't know the details but I'm sure they worked somthing out with the owners.

Check out their forum, they have Lakeland practice pics, vids, etc..

What about the Chicago/Gary Airport? I drove by there on my way to the Starboyz show and was wondering if they would allow something like stunting there. There seemed to be a strip by the look form the tollway that wasn't used too often. I'm not sure, someone would have to go and see it and talk to the people there.

Too bad there isn't an old airstrip that is no longer in use that should be plenty for stunting.

PS Yeah keep stunting off the street, it's "safer" for everyone somewhere rural or abandoned...

Yeah they got in with the Lakeland owners. We have tried at every local track and facility known to maN. We have been stunting here in chicago for a good 4 tears. Serious stunt riding....

It will always be a debate... I am also amazed at teh amount of people doing wheelies these days...

Good topic...

more like the amount of people TRYING to wheelie, for the sake of looking stupid, learn them in private somewhere before going to a private area to do them infront of people..lmao!
