more bad coworker kitchen etiquette

So I go to warm up my lunch and there's something sitting in the microwave, already heated up, but no one around to claim it. I decided to take my sweeeeeet time prepping my lunch and pouring my water, blah, blah...but STILL no one had come to claim the food.

So I removed it from the microwave using a paper towel, placed it on the countertop atop said paper towel (which was a lovely touch, I think) and began warming my meal. FOUR minutes later (I know because I had the microwave on a timer) the owner came in the kitchen, saw her food and said "did you touch my lunch? That's gross." And she stormed off.

It was a frozen teriyaki bowl with a plastic film on it. I didn't touch her damn sodium-laden food.

Did you then take & eat her lunch?

She probably was on a diet and used your "touching" her food as an excuse to not eat her low-cal frozen dinner and instead forced her to go out and get a Wendy's Baconator and Frosty You were just a pawn to complete her plan.

Yeah it's one thing to walk out and walk back in a minute later, but this beotch was gone for way too long. Long enough for me to warm up my food and be out of there.

I don't have time for her crap. I actually work...well, except when I post on clsb.

That's one of the things i don't like about this country. Exactly that!
In europe, people see these things a lot more relaxed.

i do hate it that all our microwaves smell like this one penetrating spice (not naming it) the whole time. i could puke in the morning when i try to warm up the milk...

similar situation happened to me 3 weeks ago as i, outside of my building, with a fractured wrist and a fractured shoulder asked a girl to help me tighten the sweatshirt knot (around the waist) since i couldn't pull on both ends with one hand.

she fuckin touched the sleeve with just two fingers as if it was covered in crap.
i then asked a construction worker who said, no problem, i'll help you.

i hope you touched her lunch LOL

At my old company there was this chick who use to be like 600 pounds or something and decided to eat only vegetables to lose weight. She lost like 300 lbs but all she ate was cooked veggies with spices and everyday she cooked some weird ass veggie concoctions and stunk up the whole place. The worst was when she was on an artichoke kick. Those things stink! The chick even smelled like rotten vegetables. It must have been coming out of her pores or something.

I'm sure Terra remembers the lady I'm talking about.

There is a reason I own my own business. I don't play well with others. That food would have been in the garbage. How fucking hard is it to stand there for 3 minutes waiting for your crap to finish so that you don't hold up the other 10 people waiting to use the micro? I mean, when I was in college, there was an appropriate courtesy time for washers and dryers, because that was an hour, but 3 minutes? Wait your happy ass there while it finishes. Jeez.

If the hour was up, it was time to see if there were any new clothes you might need!

Hot chicks with undies in the dryer were excluded from said courtesy time.

That would be great if she came back and I had all her panties wrapped around my head.

I'm pretty sure I saw you with SOMETHING on your head last time I was in the shop... Guess that explains that situation!

After one too many burnt popcorn situations that resulted in FD being called (and us fined), there is a microwave policy. No unattended microwave use allowed.

'splain it to HR how unattended microwave use could cause a fire, yada, yada, yada......

I worked for a place that had a list of things that could not be fixed in the micro.

1. popcorn
2. curry
3. fish/seafood

I only used it to heat water for hot coco or tea.

I don't ride, I cook!

There's a guy at my office who reheats salmon, tilapia, and all other sorts of stinky ass fish in the microwave. He makes a big deal about his diet and about staying in shape and it's really effing annoying. He could come up with ways to eat cold fish; it's not like he's goddamn paula deen.
