its hard enuff to ask in the first place, just go somewhere that isnt a bar.

remember its about you and her not where you are.

I think the other half of the moose is mounted on the other side of the wall, now that would be unique, pop the question under a moose ass

Ewwwwwwwww!...red head pubes

I did it on a last minute Bahamas weekend trip....didn't know where or how I would do it exactly, but it felt right on a casual after dinner stroll down the moonlit beach.

Take her to Maui, go for a romantic walk on the beach at sunset, get on 1 knee, then ask her to marry you. That's what I did.

Just make sure you don't show her the ring until she says Yes. If she sees the ring first and says yes, you won't know if she is saying yes to you or the ring.

Good luck!

I think it depends on how she is......????

Is she more traditional and would like the 1 knee romantic thing or is she more "HEY WOW THAT'S AWESOME, I DIG IT" type. Then you can be creative.

I once..... a long long time ago, saw somewhere on TV a guy the precut a pumpkin and put the ring inside, then as she was pulling out the (HANDLE??) it was tied to that with a string..... she cried. I'm sure she will remember that moment forever, hell it wasn't me and I remember it.

Put it in the fridge, and tell her to go get you a beer! When reaches in the case, she'll find the ring!

DO NOT Spend money on a trip to ask her to marry you!!!

TheReason:
SPEND THAT MONEY ON THE ROCK!!!! I don't care if the destination trip was only going to cost $500---spend that on the ring. OR put it towards the wedding itself, or put it in an investment.

Trust me, that no matter how you do it, you will BOTH remember it for the rest of your lives.

My ring was under our best man's Christmas tree and he handed it to my fiance and I as a gift from him. So I had to open it. Let me tell you--- I was so thrown off that I was asking him what he got US that was in a jewelry box!!!!

Bottom line on engagement is there are only a few times in our short lives that we can be 100% genuinely surprised, and this is one of them. Take her on some big trip and she will probably be suspicious of it.

Take her breath away!!

Good luck!

With my wife (she is a romantic) i told her i just got a bonus at work and since i have this extra money i want to spend it on us. I told her to pick a fancy restaurant that we normally could not afford and thats where we will have dinner. I already had reservations at the 95th in the John hancock mind you. She picked a couple rests. and i suggested something cool like maybe the sox restaurant or maybe a chez something or the 95th and with her choices they were booked and what not so i basically had her choose to my choice already. I had a window seat and we ate, enjoyed the sunset, had a couple drinks, and when she went to the washroom i stuck the ring inside a rose i had with the rock just barely showing and put it back in my coat pocket. After another drink i said "oh i almost forgot" and reached in to the coat and gave her the rose. She said how pretty and i said you really should smell it! As she went to smell the rose i stepped around and dropped to a knee cause she saw the ring and as i asked her i felt like a fool in limbo cause she cried for what seemed like an eternity and then said yes and the whole restaurant was clapping and coming over to congratulate us.
It was really cool and she still talks about it 7 years later!

Just do something special and do it for both of you. You will not regret it. Go the distance to make it memorable. Trust me i know!

Good luck and Congrats!

I asked my fiance while we were having dinner at the Rose Bud on Taylor Street. Nice Italian place. Great food and romantic setting. After dinner and before desert, got on one knee and asked her in the middle of the restaurant since our table wasnt against a wall or in a corner. A couple different tables noticed what was happening and it seemed like the whole restaurant stopped talking waiting for the response. Once I got the yes, there were some congratulations, some claps and a free desert from the restuarant.

As a joke we talk about doing the whole proposal thing at different resturants so we get stuff for free. Havent done it yet but it is a thought. Good Luck bro.

If she is into the "BIKE" thing; then work something like a place to have dinner and what not like her parents house, your place, or better yet an outdoor beer garden on a Wed or whatever and give the ring to someone from the CLSB group. Then you pick the time and we have 50-75-100 bikes come riding up to the spot and the last rider will have the ring and as everyone is in awe at the bike and reving he will deliver you the ring and then all the bikes shut off for you to pop the question! THAT MY FRIEND WOULD BE A SIGHT TO BEHOLD!!!
