Security Systems ... Opinions?

Okay not sure if somebody already asked this but w/e:

What are your guy's opinions of Motorcycle Security Systems?
*Do They Work?
*Are they a nuisance?

I know its late in the season but w/e

what ever you do, do not get the one that beeps if you stand too close to the bike. There was one on a bike that parked next to me when I was at the Q101 ride this year and I couldn't stand next to my bike cause it kept beeping. I didn't know if I wanted to just let it keep beeping till the battery drained or to save the time and just push it over myself.

At best, all they do is alert you that you have no bike. Physical security measures are far more effective.

lol yup

Here's the plan :
* rig up a 9v battery attached to a red led that will blink when bike is off
* get lojack sticker and affix to motorcycle
