Champion Cycle SHUT DOWN

I just heard from a friend that at this moment Cook County Sheriff is taking inventory and possesion of Champion Cycle on Western Ave in Chicago. Apparently, the banks are repossesing everything.

I ussually do not liek when businesses going broke, but, I never like them and would not miss them at all. Although, I feel sorry for the employees.

Another one bites the dust. Mark my words, there will only be dealers left standing after this winter with DEEP pockets to draw from. The trifecta of death is taking it's toll.

I just called them and they are still answering their phone calls. I never like them, they were (Bold Moron) extremly rude to me back in 98 when I walked in to by a 1988 GSX750R, the idiot would not even get his feet of the table when he was talking to me. I had a spirited conversation with the moron and promissed that I will never walk into his store again. I broke the promise few hours later when I stop by to show him that I just bought a bike from a different dealer.

Not 2 weeks ago when driving by I said to my wife how they must own the building and did not know how they kept the doors open.

What ever happened to Jerry F after he left (got booted) from CCC? I thought he went near west or north. When he honored his price, he did give some good deals.

there's this dude in Northlake who's supposed to be pretty good, sometimes you get a free jacket too!

As far as Champion, I bought parts there. The parts dude was okay, the whole place just seemed like the never wanted to be there though.

Jerry is back at Banzai Motorsports. I got a good deal from him but he really pushes the extended warranty and aftermarket parts hard. If you can say "no" you can get a good deal from him.

Back in the mid to late 90's Champion was the place to "buy" after you got prices from CCC as they were only a few miles apart on Western Ave - I use to LOVE to go to CCC and get an OTD and take it to Julio @ Champion and tell him, "beat it by $1K and I will sign right fuckin now" - (2) SVs and my TLR all came that way - I loved Champion
