Cool I would get this

I would get this car for about 30 new, and spend the rest of the money in the engine

Absolutely get the Infiniti G35 sport coupe or sport sedan. Both are very very smooth cars with a lot of power, a lot of luxury and you could get damn near every option for less that $40,000. You should feel how it is to drive one of those. Man are those sweet cars.

Considering you're not a little guy, you probably want a luxury sport sedan not a little sports coupe.

I'd look at the Mercedes CLK or BMW 5 series. I think you can get a 6 speed manual or 5 speed auto wiht both, leatehr and maybe even some GPS option under 40k. You just have live with the mid level 6 cylinder motors.

I think the Mercedes has a little more style and class, while the BMW is the better performer. Both are RWD!

The G35 coupe just looks awesome. Can't say the same about the 4-door, though.

lol yes cherry, they are out of the price range i listed saying for 40grand, not thats my budget for a car.

i was thinking of getting a E class but a know a ton of people with mercedes, and they arnt what they use to be service on the cars is like being treated like your pulling into a kia dealership for service, they dont put that much effort into keeping there clients happy i am hearing, and if i spend 75000-90000 on a car, they better suck my dick every oil change.

CLK's start at over $50000 and you cant get a shifter in it. But you can buy a used SL600 for well under $40K. The 600 sell for less than the 500 because people think it will coust moue to maintane. This is not true. Check e-bay .. That is the car I would buy

I'd go with the BMW, I recently read a report that list 'Benz as being one of the faster deteriorating cars. I was surprized big time, I always thought that they were bulletproof for a long time. Also much to my surprize Volvo faired similarly. Toyota, Honda, Nissan and BMW all did very well.

Only thing I have replaced are headlamp bulbs oil filters..I fix benzs and thoues dam things brake all the time. I am pretty shure the rest of everything that comes from germany is the same

not just the car...when you start paying a little more coin for the luxury rides...make sure you also look into what dealerships are willing to take care of you service wise: free loaners, pick up & drop off service

ken, you're a pimp. I think you should get a big ole cadillac seville

Dude, if you like it buy it... who cares what people say. I mean you don't look quite like an old man yet... total chick magnet for a wedding we rented 4 lincoln towncars and drove them around just to pimp for a while... and the reaction is awesome... Chicks dig those cars. And they drive like a dream.

I think the lower end MB cars are crap. My ML430 is shit. I hate that fucking thing. I had an E430 before I needed to pull a trailor and it was very nice. I think the E, CL,CLK, G, S class cars are still very well made.

For 40K... I'd buy a Nissan Maxima and use the leftover money on a Rolex.
