Tesla Roadster - Anyone see one in person?

I've lived in the Lakeview area for about a year now, and while living here I've seen two Tesla Roadsters, and according to wikipedia, (only) over 700 have been delivered in North America! There is a forest green one that parks in a private garage across the street from The Pasta Bowl on Clark street and I've seen an orange one around Armitage and Halsted. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here has also seen one or has had any hands on experience with one?

Not related, but has anyone noticed the recent influx of Lotus Eslies lately?

There is a black one that parks here at work regularly. Plates are "MY TESLA". That is how I knew.

Have seen two red ones. One was in Mequon, WI with Cali plates. Was curious how it got all the way there. Guessing by truck. Unless he had a friend every 300 miles along the way.

sometimes different is good
haven't you ever eaten at arbys.. or subway.. or whatever restaurant it is that uses that slogan?

I imagine most people that bought one of those already have half a dozen cars or so.. If I had a few ferrari's and porsches and whatever whatnot .. I'd grab one..

I bet that thing gathers more tail than a 911 turbo... probably a lot more granola tail than even a ferrari or lambo.. if your into that type of thing

Not that any guy would buy a high dollar car to impress girls or anything

It's because they are cheap. You can get a used one with low miles in the upper 20s. They have no resale value.

Someone brings one to the Wheaton Friday car shows occasionally. My friends like to hit up The Bank for beers, and I've seen one there often. Pretty hot.

There's also a guy that comes in with a T-Rex, ZX14Rm juiced up. Pretty cool.

I saw a silver one in West Chicago on North Ave and County Farm by DuPage Honda Yamaha.

How soon before electric cars shoot sparks instead of flames? That would be cool.

Had a chance to sit in one a few months back, and it falls into the same category as a Corvette for me. I don't know why you'd spend that much money to be that uncomfortable, especially getting in and out of the thing.

With a license plate like that I'd have ran right over his tree hugging ass with my 12mpg V8 pickup truck.

Another one parked outside today....this one is blue with the soft top. Also saw a really sharp yellow Elise last night.

Im REALLY considering a swap to an Elise. They are dirt cheap.

I don't care about getting in and out. For me driving the vette was one of the most comfortable cars for me. Long road trips are incredibly comfortable on the highway!!
