dress up clothes. Get a bunch of cheap jewelry from walmart and princess dresses, ballerina tutus, etc.

Arts and crafts box. Find a cool basket or box and fill it with arts and crafts stuff. Big crayons, washable markers, etc. Go to a teacher supply store and you can find so much creative and educational stuff. Yarn, polka dotters (like the bingo markers), etc.

You can never go wrong with Barbie's or dolls in general. I know when my daughter was around that age she liked Tinker Bell and Polly Pockets or something to that affect.

Stuff for cooking is fun too. You can buy cookbooks for that age and a bunch of cooking utensils for kids. Obviously they won't be near the stove and knives but they can help mix batters and cut out cookies with cookie cutters, etc.

I think the dolls were from Fisher Price and the line is called Little Mommy Sweet as Me. They also have a stroller and crib for the babies too, all of which Maya got for her birthday too!

Itty bitty baby from American Girl. You can buy a million different outfits and accessories for it. Even matching outfits for your niece and doll. When she's older you can get the actual American Girl doll.
