Talking Elton John Main attaction for Harleys 100th ?

Pretty interesting it was Elton John for the main attraction

Nothing Like a Gay guy from England to represent 100 years of Macho American Iron.

I went up to the 100th on Sunday and the only cops I saw were covering for the people who had flats or other breakdowns on their cages.

I had a good time up there, I took the hog....
Met with some pretty cool people one pair sounded like Arnold Schwartzenager from New Zeland
It was kinda cool to see so many Motorcycles in one place

Lets not leave anything out then. Yes Elton John was there but so was Kid Rock, Doobie Brothers, Poison, and a lot of other big names.

I am happy I didnt brave the rain on sunday for Elton John. I was going to be pissed if the rumors were true and the Rolling Stones actually played. Happy as hell I missed sir elton.

I actually talked with a couple harley guys in milwauke about this. i had the opinion why would he be there but they made a good point. Looking aside from elton's bedroom antics, he is a music legend and has a ton of songs that pretty much EVERYONE knows the words to.

Yeah, just because you know how to hum his tunes doesn't mean you give hummers. Like I said, WTF were they thinking?

Seems like Bob Segar , Stones, Springsteen or someone like that would have been a better choice.

It just strikes me as a pretty funny matchup.

There is a pretty funny thread in one of the hd newsgroups..
one of the lines from it was
"WTF were the village people and boy george already booked ?"

cracked me up

I agree.

Actually I think the Village People would've been a hit. Hell most of the Harley guys already dress like them!
