Don't compare your Ghetto Sprint stores to our ones out in the burbs. Your experience at my store was good no?

Most new smartphones have free built in turn by turn GPS.
Not sure what's the point of this device is.

I just switched to Sprint...thought I was the only person to notice the ghetto ass employees and shady dealers.

Yeah but you live 50 miles from me - I am talking about the (5) stores that are close to me - I don't have the cool phone covers or latest rap song ring tone

IMO not worth it.
Unless you drive all over the place where you won't get reception (which is everywhere with T-mobile...) and need offline maps, it's not worth it.

As promised, T-Mobile has brought the Garminfone to retail today for $199 after $50 rebate on a new two-year contract, calling into question the viability of selling a nav-centric Android device with an HVGA display, 3 megapixel camera, and no 3.5mm headphone jack for $250 out of pocket in the store. We suppose the awesome car dock will attract some, but the myTouch 3G Slide certainly seems like the better option for less money -- maybe this would work at $99 or $149, we suppose. Not that we're impatient or anything, but where's our Froyo update, Garmin?

That sounds like a Franchise. Brianne and I hit the Sprint Store on Weber in Bolingbrook, then realized there was a Sprint Store within walking distance of our house in the Bolingbrook Promenade. The Promenade one was clearly ghetto and we just turned around and left. We asked at the nicer Sprint store, and they are like "Oh, that's a franchise, we are Sprint corporate".

I think that makes a huge difference.

Indirect VS direct. direct is much better experiences usually.

Indirect usually has lower prices on handsets because they are willing to cut down the price of it with their commission.

dont bother w garmin phone, july 21st is rumored galaxy S!!!

I only buy direct online or via phone for wireless stuff... Wireless stores are like used car dealerships.

No offense to the dude that works there

I'm referring to the corporate store on Lincoln and Devon in the north side (city) near Lincolnwood.

And in general, Sprint employees are shady. Check out that thread made a week ago about someone offering the EVO and Sprint service at a ridiculously low price. The guy (who works directly for Sprint) was using fake corporate discounts and other gimmicks. That responsibility later lands on the customer.

Yes Corporate stores are the way to go. My store isn't, but they are a certified repair center and the people know their sprint phones.

Most Repair Centers that I have found are NOT Sprint owned - Those are the ones that I have to go to - Hence my getting fooked

I go to the corporate stores in the burbs much better service.

And gone in 3 secs you might want to get your facts together and provide some proof before making a accusation on someone. You ever hear of the employee discount program for sprint? its good for friend and family of employees with the proper code. Hell i have been on a employee plan for 5 years now on my sprint aircard.
