People lined up for the Iphone 4 WTH

I'm excited just to be getting a new phone (my old company phone is breaking down already)

but seriously camping out for material things? I just don't get it.

Is there some kind of ROI besides trying to sell it on ebay?

Were have you been hiding for the past 4 years? Waiting in line for tech gadgets is the cool thing to do now.
And plus, this is the only time geeks get to interact with other humanoids.

^This.

Geeks have nothing better to do, so camping out is like going to a party for them.

Why people didn't just preorder and have them shipped, I don't know, but if people want to camp out, have fun.

Just the first reason is enough for me to keep away.

1. Service with AT&T

Meh. For me, AT&T has been the best service provider in the Chicagoland area. Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon all sucked ass.

After having AT&T for 12 years, I switched to Verizon and now my phone works in places that even 3Gs don't... like the basement I was in last night during the apocalypse. Everyone used my phone to contact their family.
