Fug It - I'm Buyin an ipad

My Boss just rolled in the office with one and fuck I want one now

64GB w/3G - I already have the mini keyboard for the imac at home - Fuck it!!! - Why not...???

I have a family Vacay in July back in Cali so this will be perfect for the flight out and back as well as checking my emails for work via OWA and our CRM is a web based App so I am good there too - Dig it

Peace bitches.....

It would have been nice to have one today, for the 3.5 hours I've been sitting in an airport with no wifi bored out of my mind. The iPhone still does the trick, but it would be nice to have a bigger screen. I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen anyone with one yet.

And you can take that all with you how?

A friend of mine was issued one for work. I'm rather anti-apple, but I really thought this was a fun toy/tool. I was impressed by the screen quality, and found more uses for it than I thought.

That said, my EVO has more hardware horsepower, and does almost anything the iPad can do. So I'm fine as I am.

I can't(with the exception of the kindle/book) but why would I need to? You can make a case for my train ride but even with that I wouldn't want to lug the ipad around, I'd prefer iphone/touch size. It's a solution in search of a problem.

Seriously, I am sick and tired of carrying this economy afloat by myself, ok my wife probably contributes more then I, but my point stands, go buy stuff.

Same reasons you wanted one of those EEE pc's, hella convenient in a small package. But no one is trying to convince you to buy one

I wanted the EEE as a toy, I admit that! Don't get upset guys, I just dont see what that practical application is for this thing(for the most part).

What is the practical use of it

I want one too but just to waste money on.... I dont think I'd have a need for it between my iphone 4 and macbook pro?? It would just sit there unused.

I totally said that to. I have a friends at work that are iPhools and I simply flat out said to them "how can I make this part of my life? Where would the iPad fit in?"

I don't have a man bag, I don't like carrying a backpack with me everywhere, and while the iPad is surprisingly small and light weight, it's just not convenient enough for me to carry everywhere...especially worrying about cracking the screen without a good case.

While what it can do is useful, the effort to take it with me and integrate it into my everyday wasn't.

So I agree that a good phone is more useful.

But then, when Google comes out with their version of the iPad, I'll probably get one.

I'm not upset lol

My reasons for wanting one (besides the fact that it's the coolest toy evar!) are:

1. Video, I like downloading episodes if too gear etc and watching them. My iPhone is small for that.

2. Photography, it's great for carrying in your camera bag, uploading and working with photos in the field and nit have to have a laptop with you.

3. Email and Corp intranet, my company supports it fully.

4. Web browsing obviously

5. It does everything I do on my Mac with much less bulk.

6. iWork, apples version of office I can do all my work on the fly again without the heft of a laptop.

I want one too.

The've got some nice apps for flight planning / training. Not to mention the video, etc. Shit, all I do on my home computer now is surf the internet. And Im not going to go out and buy an Iphone, or Droid.

One thing Ive heard to do, is buy the WiFi only version. Then you can get / use your cell phone as a mobile WiFi hotspot. Its about the same price, BUT the data plans are better AND you can use Verizon.

Once I decide if Im going to get the 3G version or not, Im gonna go order one.

Yup , I have a sprint mobile wifi hit spot so I'll just be buying the wifi only version. Then I'll be on 4g instead of AT&T's 3G

Not upset at all dude - For me, it is simple - I use email (MSO) and a Web Based CRM tool along with a phone to do my job - I can access our email thru OWA and the CRM thru any browser - Now factor in that I am flying at the end of the Month so Movies and itunes loaded up and I do not have to "lug" my IBM Thinkpad that weighs about 71 lbs all the way out there

As for the 3G - is is 250MB for $15.00 a month or 2GB for $25.00 a month w/no contracts

I will try it out for a bit @ $25.00 a month and if it sucks I'll go get a 4G thing - Don't want to tether the phone as I use the phone and internet at the same time

I just ordered mine from BB and pick it up in an hour
