Star wars: Ep iv 2004-revisited-adywan

RE: http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/top...LE/topic/5942/

This guy basically remasters the entire movie(Star Wars IV). I just downloaded it and I'm super stoked to watch it! His additions are subtle and very well done. Here is a 500+ image gallery of changes, you can't help but be impressed: http://picasaweb.google.com/doubleof...ualComparison#

No, but I had pm'd you about it. I went ahead and downloaded it, it's on rapidshare in 80 segments. Took a while but it's automated with jdownloader. Going to burn to a DL-DVD tonight for viewing on my big screen. Super stoked, love what this guy has done. I'll probably never put my original disk in again!

He's still working on ESB, should be done in 2011. Probably just in time for me to realize his cut is better than whatever Lucas has in store for us with the BD release.

Watched the first 40 minutes or so last night. He might have gone a little overboard on updating the star fields but that's a small complaint, the rest of it is so so subtle and so well done. The cantina scene is better than ever, the subtle face movements he added creates so much more realism without being CGI fake looking. This is the definitive fan edition for sure!

for those interested I've attached the container file to this post, unzip it and load the container into jdownloader. This will download all 80 parts of the rar file from rapidshare and it will assemble it for you. Then burn to a DL DVD.
Attached Files
File Type: zip adywan_starwarsrevisited_NTSC_DL_DVD.zip (28.2 KB, 4 views)

Sure, if I didn't fuck them up and have to cut it shorter...try again, fuck it up, cut it shorter.

Speaking of fuck stuff up...this Rapid share thing sucks, even with that goofy program you recommended. I found this video available on two different torrent sites. I'm going to zip it down when I get home. JDownloader has been working on this since you posted this morning, and I've only got 400MB.

The problem with torrents is you never know what you're going to get, might get some compressed to oblivion avi turd or a dvd-5 version or something.

Now if there was something they could do about revisiting Mark Hamill's acting. And maybe a princess leia nipple slip.

Not from where I get my stuff from. If it's been up for a day or more and is bogus, it gets removed or at least flagged.

I got it downloaded and watched some of it this weekend. Some scenes are awesomely sharp, some look over-sharpened, and some are oddly pixelated. Beyond that, I'm loving this copy...the sound and subtle additions are fantastic! It's been a while since I've watched this film, mostly because I get tired of the Lucas bastardizations.

The cut scenes with the death star are pretty impressive, now orbiting a planet(or similar) with star destroyers around and some going to lightspeed with the addition of the imperial march. My only complaint is the planet it seems to be orbiting is a tad too close.

I didn't get that far. I went as far as the droid with a blown motivator. Speaking of which, the enhanced blue on the droids was a bit excessive. Oh, no wait, I got as far as Old Ben telling Luke he was Ben Kenobi. That scene looked really sharp and high end DVD quality.

I think the whole redo is ripped from the DVD so most of the issues you see, unless they are fixes, are probably resident on the original source.

Hold on, I'll reference my Blu-Ray copy.

I'm really afraid of what the Blu-Ray is going to look like. I'm not sure I'll get it.

And I just realized Red Dawn and Pixars The Incredible's aren't on Blu-Ray yet. Fuggers.

seriously, all this container does is drop all the rapidshare rar links into an automater. Should slowly get them all, mine took a couple days.

Imperial March wasn't until ESB if I recall. That scene just looks so bad ass.

I'm going to record a metal version of the March and use it as my ringtone.

yes, the march came in with ESB. How big is your iso file? Mine is roughly 7.5GB(7,871,172KB).
