Need Electrical Guru - Wire Size

What size wire for 5Vdc sized for 1 amp? 2" of run max.

Gracias - I am probably the weakest electrical person you ever met - Light switches are confusing black boxes.

What is your application? Honestly, even 20-22 gauge should be enough for that low of a current.
