anyone use quicken for personal?

i have been using MS Money 2001 since the dawn of time. I have no issues with the program, but i dont use the internet with it for downloading transactions, cause it blew. but i know MS Money has been kicked to the curb and everyone is using quicken. I have a copy of Quicken Deluxe 2010. just wondering if anyone has opinions on it?

I started a smilar thread about last year. Well, I bought it, and implemented it. Kept up with it for about 6 months. I think the reason it faded for me is that I am not willing to pay my banks their monthly fees so that all the transactions are updated automatically and I have to do the downloads and reconciliations. It is not that it is difficult or overly time consuming, just annoying.

I'll probably keep using quicken as a long term tracking and spending analysis tool, but I was hoping to use it for real time tracking of my finances and planning and my simple spreadsheet works just fine for this.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

ya i was never a fan of the software downloading my bank statements anyways. seems like something always gets fucked.

i have ms money now and it works great, however my issues with it; when i wanna track spending, or some of the simple credit card payments get messed up. right now just feels like a fancy spreadsheet more than anything, i was hoping quicken would be better.

I really dont mind manually reconciling my accounts since its personal stuff, there isn't much.

I guess it depends on how deep you want to dive in to it. It is a good product that maybe one day I will utilze to its full potential.

I used to use MS Money way back when. I liked it as I scheduled my bills from within it and did all my planning. It was a one place to do it all, then the banks started charging fees for this.
