underwater video cams???

I need a video recording device that records underwater. Not deep, just in the pool to send clips back and forth to my swim coach for analysis. I hear the full blown waterproof camcorders kinda suck. Any thoughts on what's the best way to do this? Ipod nano with waterproof case may work best, because then I have it to listen to tunes while swimming. Do those take good enough video for you tube vids?

There are lots of cameras now that do video and work great up to 20ft or more. Cheap as well.

Example, and there are TONS of them: http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content...der--29384.htm

I did a quick search and found this cam at $149

Borrow someones gopro
they are waterproof to something like 200 or 300'

otherwise I have an olympus that's waterproof - I remember a while ago recommending the Canon eq to Chills for a rugged ps and he seemed happy with it.

It was an example.

Not that it would matter as all you are trying to do is get stroke analysis, which is very easy to see.

A nano in an otterbox should work.

Meulen why not just go the GoPro HD route? There are a ton of users on here with them and it's work perfectly.

I would loan you mine but I have never met you and I loaned it to a friend..

That said if you work in the loop I could probably meet you over lunch and loan it to you - my bud just needed it for his last track days of the year and... well those are done for now

I'll take a look at it. I wouldn't feel right borrowing it, but thanks. I have time, not for sure yet on what I'll do. But right now....the ipod seems like it may be the way to go because I could listen to it while swimming laps too.

understood.. that said they are mostly indestructible and you don't strike me as a thief - besides I am sure you know a dozen people on here with them.. I was just saying if you needed one - it wouldn't be an issue for me as chances are I won't be using mine for a handful of months anyway

I have a Canon D10, works great underwater.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
