Tablet Rollout

I just saw this chart, thought it was interesting. I'm considering something like these for sitting in front of the projector...maybe even to control the projector!

Prices will continue to fall and performance will continue to rise, don't rush to buy one unless you need it. Why would you use a tablet to control your projector, seems like a remote is the simpler/easier solution.

I would like to have a tablet but in the big picture I probably would not use it much. Brilliant marketing though. More powerful than a smartphone, less powerful than a netbook but cost more than a netbook and smartphone combined. Still pretty cool though.
I brought home an iPad from work for the weekend and decided that I really did not use it enough to justify buying any tablet right now. Exciting technology though for sure.

I should clarify, I really meant to say the HTPC/Projector setup.

Yeah, Apple sucks - Esp with "Poof, we just created a market"

The ipad succeeds because of implementation which apple has on lockdown. They were hardly the inventor of the tablet, shit came out ages ago, they were the innovator of it. Great for taking a shit or just surfing on the couch.

/my kids would destroy it

I still think you could streamline implementation with a remote! I love my harmony, makes my media room sooooo seamlessly integrated.
