The phones it fine shape the button just broke. It is but I didn't get sprints warranty, I got best buys cause I was told they look at it on site then will give you a replacement if they can't fix it - wrong. You go to best buy, they send it out for warranty to a 3rd party that takes a few weeks, in the mean time you get a non-smart phone loaner.

I am about 30 seconds from tossing this POS (i love the phone - just the customer service is pissing me off) and going back to apple.

Does HTC warranty the phones?

Yeah HTC warrants the phone - just back up and ship it off then wait a few weeks to get it back. Apple seems better and better.

You should still have a 1 year warranty on the phone. Was the break due to defect or fault of your own (i.e. a drop)? Have you actually tried taking it to a Sprint store and pleading your case? Do a search on Sprint's site and look for a Sprint store WITH a repair facility on site. They're scattered throughout the burbs.

Thanks, I will try that. I haven't gone to a spring store - will try that.

No the phone wasn't dropped - just a defect with the switch.

Depending on the nature/root cause of your issue, repairs may cost you $35 on-site (without insurance).

Any issues you think with me being rooted? Would I need to flash back to the standard ROM before having them take a look?

Maybe, but I'm uncertain. From the forums, it seems that other folks usually unroot first... or at least revert back to a STOCK ROM.
