I'm not up to speed on the latest technology. Is this the same type of thing Clear offers?

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I was. They were showing me speeds of 10-15 mbps when I saw demonstrations and in their store, plus my house was in a strong signal location.

Nope, because I use it for 2 different laptops, a iPad, and anything else around. You can always get a backup battery.

Got my device today. Not much different in form or interface from my mifi2200.

Right now I'm getting about 10mbps down and 10 mbps up in san jose.
