Battery reconditioning and refurbishing

I need to get a laptop battery rebuilt and some power tool ones as well. Anyone do this or have a local hook up?

laptop... good luck esp with a dell, they have a built in deathcounter

powertools are quit a bit simpler thats a matter of getting the replacement nimh cells and soldering them together in the pack form.

Ive done this with a dewalt battery successfully and tried to do it on a dell lappy with 0 success

either way i can point you in the right direction to get the cells you need for either battery

Jason, on average, is there a significant cost savings over buying a new battery?

significant... no

infact you can spend just about as much on the cells as a new pack would cost you in the store but doing it that way you can buy higher capacity cells and basically have a better pack than would be available in a store

Not going to do it myself. Just need to get them to a place that can do a couple of the laptop ones.
