Ipod Nano 1st gen replacement program

I got my first iPod Nano like 6 years ago and right before xmas 2011
I got an email from Apple for a recall on 1st gen. of Nano's due to the
battery failure. Went on line filled up the form, they send me a shipping box,
send away my beat up Nano. 2 weeks later I received rectified iPod Nano touch 6 gen.
Pretty slick little dude. So if you still have this first gen. Nano go online and you might
get lucky and get the new one.
(I know on the beginning people where getting same nanos as a replacement but I got lucky and got the nano touch.)

Jah? Did I fall into a wormhole?

As much as I'm not an Apple fan it is always nice to see companies do the right thing once in a while.

What size were you old Nanos? Our's is a 4gb, does that mean we get the bump to 8gb with the replacement?

Sweet! The Nano is my wife's and she has just under 4gb of music, now she will have room to grow. I've had the return shipping stuff sitting here for awhile, glad I procrastinated a bit.

Now if only they would do the same with my 80gb classic. The hard drive is starting to crap out and work has been a bit slow for me to be buying a new one right now. I just hate that my only choices are a 160gb or a touch if I want to have everything with me.

my 80GB is still going strong. I want a 160 since the 80GB is full, but I don't want to buy a new one if mine is still working.
