My iphone 4s audio crapped out...

anyone else experiencing this problem? ringtones/alerts/alarms, music...everything. it simply has no audio. but sometimes, when i use the head set jack, it will work temporarily.

i have done basic trouble shooting.

Dumb question that could help: Are you sure the phone isn't muted?

It does seem weird that it only temporarily works with the headphones though. Just take a trip to the Apple store and they'll give you a new one.

When you switch mute off it pops up a little display that tells ringer volume (separate from your other volume). Could it be that you ringer volume is all the way down?

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

There is a switch on the side that is near the volume keys, check that switch as it's a mute.
