T-Mo HTC One S - Battery Issues

http://www.technobuffalo.com/compani...battery-drain/

Quote:
T-Mobile has promised to release a software update for the HTC One S to address a battery issue that affects Wi-Fi calling. Some users have reported that the new Android-powered handset rapidly loses battery life when making calls over a Wi-Fi network.
Doh!

On another note, what happened to Renner's T-Mo thread? Renner - did you nuke it?

No, I was referring to the legit questions and problems from the tmo customers on here that you either responded to with a shit resolution or ignored the question as a whole and didn't respond.

As for the bickering, welcome to the internet. I remember my first beer.

Don't get pissy sugar lips. You may have answered the questions, but that doesn't mean the responses were helpful or solved any problems. I can't review the facts because you deleted the thread. You should probably get your facts straight before you start blowing smoke up everybody's asses while misrepresenting your company. You failed.

Just remember, the HTC One S doesn't need a replaceable battery be cause no one ever needs to replace a battery. But also remember, smart phone batteries only last 12-16 months

Oh, and here is one right back at ya

Again, we can't take it in context because someone got butt hurt and deleted the thread. I gave you the "he's new here" benefit of the doubt, but that is gone now. You are a bit too quick to resort to name calling and other BS. I sure hope you don't deal with customers directly.
You say I am not intelligent, but you don't know me a bit. I can sure get a pretty good idea of the type of person you are based on your posts here though.

Alright, serious response now.

Renner. It's great that you're enthusiastic about T-Mo and want to spread the word about your company and their products. I respect that kind of corporate enthusiasm and loyalty - it's rare these days. But there's a fine line between legitimately wanting to educate your audience and trying to sell to your audience based on half-baked assertions & incomplete pictures.

Thus far, we've seen a couple solid examples of this kind of behavior. First I personally addressed your GSM vs CDMA assertions. CDMA has never innovated? Seriously? I forgot what other ridiculous claims were made that I addressed, and you went so far as to "cover your tracks" by nuking that thread. "Internal policy changes..." yet you "violated policy" by going off on two other members last night, before wiping out all of your responses to cover your tracks again.

Now there's the whole discussion about the HTC One S having a sealed battery. There are arguable pros and cons to this. But instead, you attempted to claim that the HTC One S's battery would never suffer from battery fatigue and never need to be replaced. The rest of us know that that is hogwash, and you wound up contradicting yourself based on prior statements. And to your "out of context, most smartphones" claims, battery technology used by ALL smartphones is fundamentally identical. And ALL suffer from the same charge cycle lifetime limitations.

Here is a bit of serious, constructive feedback (though I wonder if you've even gotten this far).

Spend some more time really learning your technology and product. You don't have to devote 18 hours a day and get a doctorate. But spending just a few extra hours of reading and research will go a long way. Then once you really understand the pros and cons of your company's offerings, don't be afraid to acknowledge the weaknesses. Every product... EVERY PRODUCT... has weaknesses and shortcomings. Trying to hide, disregard, and ignore questions & counter-claims about said weaknesses casts a negative light on you. But acknowledging them, accurately addressing them, but keeping focus on your product's strengths - THAT is what earns you respect.
