Anyone Cisco certified?

I have a Cisco 3800 router that I picked up from a business that went under.

I need to completely wipe it so I can reconfigure it for it's next purpose.

Anyone know how to do this?

you don't need to be certified to work on cisco equipment. Why dont you just reload the ios, or at least update it to a newer release(I'm sure its out of date).

If you have the pw, hook up the console cable hyperterminal or other terminal program(9600 8 N 1 )
login
en
config t
wr erase
reload

If you don't have the pw here is the password reset procedure
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/...80094774.shtml

I can do this for you as well if you'd like, just shoot me a pm

It had too many words...

I probably shouldn't be working on my own equipment with a pitcher of very strong bloody mary in my hand...

For some reason I didn't see the password reset link you posted...I swear you added that later.

Granted, I was 3/4 the way through this pitcher at the the time...so I plead the fifth of vodka.

Wait, bloody mary?

It was after noon, why would you be drinking a bloody mary?

I'm really sorry about that, I'm usually better than that.

Thank you for your guidance..I'm trying to find a console cable to get in and reset the PW and then wipe it.

Thank you again!
